GODLINESS & HOLY LIVING.

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,may the peace of God rest in your hearts.

Today we will be talking about Godliness and holy living a virtue that is very rare to come by these days.
I will start by saying that as a child of God,getting into the fullness of the spirit and experiencing God intimately should be our and goal in this world and in odder to fulfill this we must yield ourselves to the dictates of the holy spirit because this the only way we can conform to the image of Christ and partake in his divine nature.(Gal. 5:16)

Salvation is in three (3) stages and they are,
1: Positional Salvation (the born again experience.
2: Progressive Salvation (walking in righteousness, the renewal of our minds)
3: Ultimate Salvation. (The hope of salvation, the redemption of our bodies,where mortality shall put on immortality.)

Godliness can be described as walking in righteousness which is giving visible expression to the righteous nature imputed unto us at new birth for example, your CONDUCT,THOUGHT PATTERN, ATTITUDE, DRESSING,CONVERSATION etc. (Eph 4:20 - 25)
Godliness can also be defined as the proper worship of God,a well directed worship,possessing the right attitude of heart  towards God with the right mode of action springing from it. It is about our attitude and manner of life.(Gal 5:17, Isaiah 28:11)

THE NECESSITY OF GODLINESS IN THIS END TIME.
Godliness is a very rare and important virtue in this age and time because it determine our destination in Christ and eternity.
The aim of living a Godly life is to become conformed to the image of Christ, its a journey for every believer,its a Part towards ultimate perfection (1John 3:2, Gal 5:19-21, ROM 8:13)

WAYS TO DEVELOP GODLINESS.
There are various ways we can develop Godliness and they are,
1.you must make up your mind to be Godly no matter the circumstance you find yourself in (ROM 12:1-2, 1Pet 1:13-15)

2. Consistently study Gods word to know what is required of you as a child of God. (Prov. 2:2-5, 2Tim. 3:16-17)

3.  Train yourself in the direction of Godliness and practice obedience to Gods instructions. (1Tim.4:7, Eph 4:20-24).

REWARDS OF GODLINESS.
Every activities on earth has it reward wether good or bad,so is GODLINESS.
Here are a few rewards,

1. Godliness brings contentment. (Peace of heart/ease of mind)
This implies freedom from anxiety and agitation. It eliminates envy and strife from ones heart. (1Tim 6:6)

2. Godliness fortifies the hedge around us and keeps us within the boundaries of his presence,it gives us a sense of security. (1John 5:18)

3. Godliness keeps us from the snares of death. (ROM 6:23, ROM 8:13, 1Tim 4:8).

In conclusion, I will like to say that the absence of  Godliness from the Christian walk makes you a hypocrite and a false Christian. This is because Christianity equals GODLINESS, so check your heart and lifestyle right now,can you boldly say you are living the God kind of life? If you are, congratulations but if you are not,its not too late to start.

Make it your goal today not only to introduce men to God but also to express him to men through your conduct at home,in market place,your place of work, school and where ever you find yourself. (Heb 10:24, 1Tim 4:12, Math 5:16).
